Valkoran Shadow Trooper

The Valkoran black ops unit, only the most athletic troopers get to become Shadow Troopers. They are often deployed for sabotage or infiltration missions.

One notable instance of their use in the Valkoran War was during the Battle of Taris, where a group of them took over a Galactic Alliance planetary defense cannon and turned it against the Alliance fleet. When Zolph Vaelor went down to the planet's surface to retake the cannon, he had to deal with a squad of these troopers waiting in ambush before dealing with Gastroma.

Their armor is black by default, but thanks to a photographic camouflage system, it can automatically blend in with whatever it registers. The armor also has a preregistered typical Valkoran trooper color scheme, allowing them to blend in with the rank-in-file when needed, although the only thing that would give them off are the differences in mask and armor design.

Their weapons include a silencer blaster pistol, a "Death Mask" pocket assassin droid, and instead of the typical bayonet gauntlet, a Mocksaber.

The Mocksaber is an attempt by non-Force Users to replicate the lightsaber. It has the cutting power and defensive capabilities of a lightsaber, but since it is made by those who don't have a good understanding of how lightsabers work, it is crudely built. Rather than using the traditional parts and a crystal, it uses a laser emitter with a retractable receiver to contain the beam. Although it's reinforced with cortosis, the receiver is still breakable, so it is not recommended for cutting through durasteel, and woe be those who have the blade pointing towards their faces when the receiver breaks off.

In terms of threat level to Galactic Alliance soldiers and Jedi, they are almost on par with the Black Guards.
